1 Why will it perform better?

Test it yourself by pouring say 5 litres of water over both pipes on the ground. The conventional piping will only accommodate about 10% of the 5 litres New choice piping will accommodate 95% of the 5 litres

2 Will the water soak down through the pipe?

No because water will follow the path of least resistance, (have you seen water soak through a river bed).

3 Will it work on my ground ?

New choice drainage piping will work 100% on any soil or ground that allows water to migrate through the gradients that make up the soil, this applies to all drainage applications regardless of the pipe. Example if you dig an open drain in wet ground water will appear in the drain almost immediately, this water has just migrated to the lowest point of hydrostatic pressure and the path of least resistance. Some soils have more or less gradients than others. peat and moory soils are the best, clay and gravelly soil are also ideally graded. Heavy locky dauby soils are the most difficult soils to penetrate. So we will conclude to say that the soil that allows water to migrate through it, is totally drainable.

4 What depth do I put the piping in the ground ?

All drainage systems have the same purpose to get water out of the ground with the help of a slight fall Always start where the water finishes eg: the end of the drain at the lowest point of the fall, some ground will be water logged by springs beneath the soil so for this application the piping will need to accommodate this by getting to the source of the water. In other instances the ground will be waterlogged by surface water in this instance the piping will not have to be as deep, but kept below the ploughing depth. So careful judgement will need to be applied to each relevant case.

5 Why do I not need chippings or pebbles?

Because the chippings are put over most drainage pipes to sieve and filter the particles of soil from entering the piping. New choice drainage piping comes with its own polypropleyne filter sleeve encasing 360 degrees of the pipe that serves the same purpose as the chippings.

6 Will the filter get blocked?

No! This system of filtering soil from water has been in use since the 1970s.Water will still penetrate all the particles of the soil on its migration to the point of lowest hydrostatic pressure, for instance the old clay pipes that were used for irrigation in the 1960s & 70s are still performing today by filtering the water from the soil without blocking the outside of the piping & without the use of chippings or pebbles, the only downfall with this system was the clay pipes were very short and they were only 7% porus. They did not have any coupling system so they were dislocated by the natural distortion in the earth and also by heavy machinery tractors, slurry spreaders, silage wagons, etc!
